There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.

Dan grew up in the great state of Kansas, then moved to NYC to attend film school at New York University.  After graduating, he began his career at Nickelodeon, creating character animation on the show “Blue’s Clues.”  There, he worked his way up from Intern to Senior Animator.  After the show had run its course, he decided it was time to leave New York for the palm tree lined boulevards of Los Angeles.

Once in LA, he discovered his true passion for motion graphics.  He cut his teeth working in home entertainment, creating design and animation for A-list titles such as Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Desperate Housewives, 300, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Corpse Bride and National Treasure among many others.

Eventually he made his way back into the world of TV again, this time in the graphics department of Universal Sports. He loved the fast paced environment there and creating elements for live TV like show opens, lower thirds, and promo end pages.

After that company relocated, Dan was lucky enough to land at The Ether. He is very excited to apply his experience to the fun and challenging projects created at The Ether, and to work with such a talented team.

In his free time, he enjoys photography, making guacamole, and yelling at bad drivers.
