We collaborated with Relativity Television to brand the Food Network’s new prime time cooking competition show, Kitchen Inferno. The intensity of competition within a stadium environment inspired the color palette and textural considerations, creating a sense of grandness as flames brush up against polished, yet imposing metallic elements.
For the main title, we constructed three-dimensional typography extruding out of stainless steel. A fuse element burning from both ends was devised as the explosive countdown device, and sweeping animations of a foreboding blazing pyramid reflected a competitor’s choice to raise the stakes. This fiery conceptual direction for the branding aimed to accentuate the show’s intentions of taking cooking to the next level.
