Following a viral teaser and trailer campaign, The Ether was tasked with creating an additional branded marketing campaign for the concert of the century featuring The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who, performing together for the first time ever in an epic 3-day rock ’n’ roll mega-festival.

AEG and Goldenvoice wanted to advise ticket holders on all that the Indio, CA venue has to offer—shuttle transportation, camping grounds, gourmet dining—and what to pack. To that end, The Ether team embarked on a sweltering 3-day film shoot to recreate the ideal Desert Trip experience, which we distilled into a five-episode travelogue showing ticket holders how to take greatest advantage of the amenities and services offered.

The vibrant, video diary aesthetic of the episodes was created using a variety of styles and techniques from live action to animation. Our team conceptualized, wrote, produced, shot, edited and animated each episode to form a comprehensive field guide to the best Desert Trip experience possible, resulting in another immensely successful online campaign.
